I have just completed reading a very interesting paper regarding the question of whether GAPS exist in the genealogies of Genesis 5 and 11. The paper is available on the AIG website and is written by Dr. Rick Freeman, Professor of Old Testament at The Baptist College of Florida, in Graceville, FL. The page labels the article as “Semi-technical,” and the paper is nearly 10,000 words long, so you will need 30 minutes to an hour of time in which you can concentrate on the reading. I really believe that the effort will be quite rewarding and I would encourage you to make the effort. It will require patience to read the material, but the conclusion reached is faith-strengthening, IMHO.
You can go to that paper by C-L-I-C-K-I-N-G H-E-R-E.
